Police Blotter: Thefts from Cars, Trucks, Business
The following arrest information was provided by the Westlake Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
Window Installation Equipment Stolen
A window installation firm on Canterbury Road found that two company trucks had been broken into at about 7:45 a.m. Nov. 7. A saw, compressor, nail gun and brake for shaping metal, worth $424, were taken. Police have no suspects.
Storage Trailer Broken Into

At about 8:15 a.m. Nov. 7, someone noticed that a storage trailer parked at a Bassett Road warehouse had been broken into. Police found that nothing was missing and they have no suspects.
Cash Register Drawer Stolen With $20 Inside

The co-owner of a Center Ridge Road business found that the glass doors to the building had been broken at about 9:45 a.m. Nov. 7. A cash register drawer with $20 inside had been taken. Police have no suspects.
Purse Stolen From Car
A Jeep Cherokee parked in the owner’s Rustic Lane driveway had a purse and its contents, laptop, Ipad and sunglasses, valued at $3,900 taken between 7 a.m. on Nov. 9 and 11 p.m. the night before. Police found no signs of forced entry and have no suspects.
