Man Flees The Scene Of Rollover Crash On I-90

A 30-year-old Westlake man caused a rollover crash on Interstate 90 West near the Crocker Road overpass and ran from the scene at 3:29 a.m. Feb. 13. With the help of Bay Village officers, police searched the area and found the man in a parking lot on Clemens Road. Police arrested him for driving under the influence, hit-skip, willful and wanton disregard of safety, failure to control and failure to maintain an assured clear distance. The man refused to take a breath test and was released later that morning. The other driver in the incident was a 20-year-old Westlake woman who declined treatment for injuries after the crash.

A man caused a disturbance in the at Columbia and Detroit Roads when a store clerk wouldn’t let him squeeze the cigars at 8:18 a.m. Feb. 16.The man was gone when officers arrived.

Parma Man Steals $568 Of Beef And Shrimp From Giant Eagle

staff in The Promenade reported a suspected shoplifter at 7:09 p.m. Feb. 13. Officers stopped two men as they started to drive away and found $568 worth of beef and shrimp in the car. They arrested the passenger, a 35-year-old Parma man, for felony receiving stolen property, possession of criminal tools and a warrant for resisting arrest from the Cuyahoga County Sheriff. Police arrested the driver, a 37-year-old Berea man, for complicity to receiving stolen property. Police turned both over to the Cuyahoga County Sheriff on Feb. 15.

Woman Gets Upset About Treatment, Steals Medical Supplies

A 30-year-old Westlake woman was upset about her treatment at , and loaded up a cart with hospital bedding, gowns, disinfectants, a bedpan and more. She told police she was going to use the supplies to care for a family member. Police valued the items at more than $500. Hospital security detained the woman until police arrived. She will receive a summons to appear in Rocky River Municipal Court.

Car Stolen From Trader Joe’s Parking Lot

A Lorain woman’s 2000 Honda Civic was stolen from the lot on Feb. 19 some time between 3 p.m. and 10:40 p.m. It has not yet been recovered.

Montana Man Walks Out On Restaurant Tab

Police arrested a 50-year-old Montana man for walking out on his tab at at 11:04 p.m. Feb. 19. The man came to Cleveland to visit an acquaintance and ended up in Westlake. Police arrested him for disorderly conduct intoxicated and went to city jail. The Boneyard staff is giving him a few days to pay his bill, otherwise he will face theft charges.

Three Boys Steal Over $400 Of Clothes From Dick’s

Police arrested three 16-year-old Cleveland boys after they stole $407 of clothing from Dick’s Sporting Goods on Vine Street at 6:52 p.m. Feb. 12. Store employees reported that the boys were acting suspicious and that they had found price tags and anti-theft devices from the clothes in the fitting rooms. Officers stopped the boys in a parking garage next to the store and recovered the merchandise. Police charged the boys with theft and possession of criminal tools. They were later released to a parent.

Cleveland Woman Uses Stolen Credit Card At Dave & Buster’s

A 20-year-old Cleveland woman tried to use a stolen credit card at at 10:31 p.m. Feb. 15. The victim had reported her wallet missing to Dave & Buster’s staff earlier. Officers found the suspect also had the victim’s cell phone. Police charged the woman with petty theft, theft of credit cards, two counts of receiving stolen property, attempted misuse of credit card and attempted theft. Police released her on her own recognizance.
