Fight Between Couple Ends With Two Broken Cell Phones
Police arrested a 28-year-old North Ridgeville man for domestic violence after a fight at about 7:30 p.m. July 7. The couple had been fighting over cell phones in the parking lot of the woman’s Hunters Chase Drive apartment. Both of their phones were broken during the fight and the woman had bruises on both of her arms and a cut on her nose. Police arrested the man while he was making a report about an incident with the victim earlier that day. He was released on bond on July 8 and a temporary protection order was issued.

A girls mountain bike was stolen from an open garage on Cinnamon Way July 5. Police recovered the bike before it was even reported stolen at the scene of a domestic dispute on King James Parkway earlier that day. Police obtained a warrant for 22-year-old Jeffrey Desler of Westlake for burglary and receiving stolen property. Berea police arrested Desler on July 7 for an unknown office in that city. He is now in Cuyahoga County Jail.
