Police Blotter: Persistent Woman Arrested, a Drunk Driver and More

Persistent Woman Arrested By Police

Police arrested a 30-year-old North Ridgeville woman for disorderly conduct persisting at about 10 a.m. Sept. 6. The woman was demanding $500 in child support from a man on Center Ridge Road. The man refused to give her the money, but she refused to leave. Police arrived and told the woman that she would be arrested if she did not leave. The woman said that arrest is what it would take, and officers took her into custody.

Police arrested a 70-year-old Westlake man for driving under the influence at about 2:30 a.m. Sept. 4. Officers saw the man weaving on Detroit Road near Cahoon Road. The man was carrying a 9mm semiautomatic handgun, and was also charged with using weapons while intoxicated. Police gave him a breath test, and he blew a .120, resulting in a blood alcohol content charge. Police released him to his wife later that morning.

Car Thief Takes Art Supplies, iPod

A North Olmsted man reported that his 1997 Jeep was broken into at at about 12:45 a.m. Sept. 5. The rear passenger window was broken, and a bag of art supplies and an iPod were taken. The total loss is estimated at $175. Police have no suspects.
