Police Blotter: Many Thefts From Cars, Rock Thrown Through Window

The following arrest information was supplied by the Westlake police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

GPS Stolen From Car At Village In The Park Apartments

A 24-year-old resident of reported that someone stole her Tom-Tom from her unlocked Pontiac Sunbird sometime between 8:30 p.m. June 17 and 2 a.m. June 18. The victim kept the GPS unit in her glove compartment.

Cash Stolen From Jeep At Village In The Park Apartments

A 22-year-old Westlake woman reported $90 cash and a $20 gift card missing from her 2006 Jeep, parked at Village In The Park Apartments. She said the theft happened some time between 10 p.m. June 14 and 8 a.m. June 15. The responding officer didn't find any signs of forced entry into the vehicle.

Rock Thrown Through Restaurant Window

The manager of that someone threw a rock through a window on the east side of the building some time between 11:30 p.m. June 15 and 6:30 a.m. June 16.

Man Reports Online Credit Card Fraud, Possibly From Canada

A 27-year-old Canterbury Road man discovered fraudulent charges on his credit card at noon June 15. There were $1,500 in online purchases, but the victim does not know how the suspect got his credit card number. A preliminary investigation indicates that an unknown person in Canada may be involved.

GPS Stolen From Car At Crocker Park

An 18-year-old Berea woman reported that someone smashed out the driver's side window of her Pontiac Grand Am and took a Tom-Tom. The car was parked at the Main Street garage at Crocker Park between between 4 and 8 p.m. June 15. Police have no suspects.

Bicycle Stolen From Primrose Lane

A 49-year-old Primrose Lane resident reported that someone took a bicycle from his garage overnight on June 14. The resident said he last saw it in the late afternoon of June 13 and that the garage door had been closed overnight. The responding officer did not find any signs of a break-in. The missing bike is a red and blue boys BMX style bike with a gel seat, valued at $100-$150.
