Catalytic Converters Stolen From Two Cars
Catalytic converters were stolen from two vehicles at the Sept. 15. A Sheffield Lake woman found that her 2001 Oldsmobile Alero had $570 of damage at about 5 p.m., and an Avon Lake woman discovered her 2002 Honda Odyssey had $600 of damage. Officers notified RTA security. There are no suspects.

Westlake police officers helped out the North Olmsted police when they made a radio broadcast about a beer thief at 2 a.m. Sept. 19. Westlake police spotted the suspect black Chevrolet Blazer and stopped it in a driveway on Clague Road. The 42-year-old Westlake man inside was arrested for driving under the influence. The passengers- the man’s niece and her boyfriend- were turned over to the North Olmsted Police Department.
Woman's Purse Stolen From Car

The front passenger window of a Westlake woman’s 2003 Dodge Durango was broken out while parked at the , and her purse was stolen some time between 7:10 and about 8:30 p.m. Sept. 15. The woman’s purse had eight credit cards and $20. One of her cards was used at a Westlake gas station before it could be cancelled. Police have no suspects.
Construction Equipment Taken From Truck
A North Olmsted man reported the theft of a $3,500 machine control receiver used to check grading Sept. 15. The device was stolen from his truck while it was parked at . Police found no signs of forced entry to the truck, and have no suspects.
Home Broken Into, Nothing Stolen
An Adelaide Ct. home was broken into on Sept. 16 between 6:30 and 9:45 p.m. Investigating officers found that bodily force was used on a side door. Nothing was taken from the home.
