Barefoot Woman Covered in Mud Arrested on Cedarwood Drive

A 43-year-old Westlake woman was reportedly standing barefoot in all white clothing, covered in mud at about 7 p.m. April 17. A Cedarwood Drive resident reported the strange incident to police, and officers arrested her for disorderly conduct intoxicated. She was released to a sober person at 9:30 p.m. that night.

Police arrested a 73-year-old South Carolina man at the home of his daughter on Meadow Lane at about 8 p.m. April 21. The man’s family members refused to give him his car keys that night because he was intoxicated and he did not want him at the home anymore when he became angry. He was released on bond at about 6:30 a.m. later that day.

Man with Open Beer Says He's Waiting for Taxi

A man with an open beer can told police that he was just waiting for a cab at the corner of Dover Center and Center Ridge roads at about 4:30 p.m. April 21. Police arrested him for possessing an open container of alcohol and disorderly conduct intoxicated. His mother picked him up from Westlake City Jail at about 7 p.m. that evening.

Woman Reports Medication Stolen from Westlake Workplace

A Cleveland woman reported the April 7 theft of her prescription medication to Westlake police on April 16. The woman said she believes a coworker took the drugs out of her purse while they were at work on Center Ridge Road. The victim had tried to refill her medication, but the pharmacy told her they require a police report.

GPS Units Stolen from Three Vehicles at Crocker Park

Three women reported GPS units missing from their vehicles parked at Crocker Park on April 15. A Michigan woman parked in the Crocker Road garage reported that her driver’s side window had been broken and a $100 GPS was missing at about 6:30 p.m. At 7 p.m., a Strongsville woman parked in the movie theater lot reported that her front passenger window had been smashed and her GPS was missing. At 12:18 a.m. that night, a North Olmsted woman parked at the movie theater reported her driver’s side window had been broken and her GPS was missing.

Four Vehicles Entered at Towne Place Suites

Police have no suspects in a string of car break-ins at Towne Place Suites on April 16. At about 7:15 a.m., a Parma Heights man reported that the driver’s side window of his car had been broken out. Nothing was taken. A New York woman reported that her passenger’s side window was smashed. Her car had been rummaged through, but nothing was missing. An Alabama man told police $2,300 of tools and a computer were taken from his truck after the driver’s side window had been broken. A Nebraska man’s driver’ side window was also broken but nothing was taken.
