Passenger Steals Cab Driver's Phone and More Crime

Passenger Runs Off with Cab Driver's Phone

A cab driver got into an argument with his passenger and nearly lost his cell phone at about 2:50 a.m. Feb. 5. The driver and his passenger, a 29-year-old North Olmsted man, started to fight near the corner of Center Ridge and Bradley roads when the passenger took the cab driver’s cellphone and ran. The passenger’s wife, who was also in the cab, chased after him. Officers stopped the man and arrested him for disorderly conduct intoxicated. The cellphone was returned to its owner, who did not press charges. Police dropped the man's wife off at home.

Floor Mats Stolen From Behind Business

A Center Ridge Road business reported 40 to 50 floor mats, valued at $2,000, were stolen. The mats had been stored behind the building until the owner could install them. Police have no suspects.   

Cleveland Teens Caught Shoplifting at

Police caught two Cleveland teens (one 16-year-old and one 17-year-old) with stolen clothing worth $155 at about 6:15 p.m. Feb. 4. They will face receiving stolen property charges in Juvenile Court and were released to their parents or guardians.
