New Westlake High School Hit With Vandalism: Reward Offered

Reward offer for information leading to identities of vandals.

A reward is being offered for information about vandals who broke into the new Westlake High School building Saturday night, Aug. 17, causing damage throughout the new school building.

The vandals discharged at least nine fire extinguishers, and tipped over buckets of water and glue, throughout the Rotunda cafeteria, the media center, the academic wings and the auxiliary gymnasium.

The damage was discovered by Turner Construction early Sunday morning, which was reported to the school district and the Westlake Police Department.  Three distinctive and easily identifiable shoe treads were identified at the scene. Turner Construction and Westlake Schools officials are working with insurance investigators to assess the damages.
