Motorists Ditch Hypodermic Needles, Found With Stolen Copper

A Westlake patrolman stopped a Chevrolet minivan on I90 eastbound earlier this month for following too closely. The occupants threw 2 hypodermic needles out of the window before pulling over. Inside the van was a quantity of copper wire; preliminary investigation shows it to have been stolen in Bellevue, OH.  Three Bellevue residents, 29 and 23-year-old males and a 25-year-old female, were arrested for Possession of Criminal Tools, Obstructing Official Business, and Possession of Hypodermics. The Huron County Sheriff will handle the wire theft.
