Mom Arrested for DUI With Kids in Car
The following arrest information was provided by the Westlake Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
A 31-year-old Elyria woman is facing charges of driving under the influence and driving under suspension.
Westlake police were called when another driver saw her driving erratically just before 5:30 p.m. on May 3.
When police signaled to the women to pull the car over on Detroit Road, the woman drove onto a treelawn. Police then discovered the woman's two small children were in the car with her.

The woman told police she was taking several prescription medications. A blood sample was drawn and is being tested by the County Medical Examiner's Office. The results of the blood test will determine whether or not child endangering charges will be added, said Westlake police captain Guy Turner.
The children were turned over to their grandmother at the police station following their mother's arrest.
