Men Try to Get a $36 Cab Ride for Free

The following information was provided by the Westlake Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Two men reportedly tried to get a free cab ride on Jan. 13 by running away. According to the police, a cab driver reported that he had driven them from Lakewood to Westchester Parkway. It was about 8:30 p.m. when they ran away without paying the $36 fare.

Police identified two possible suspects, and the men got in contact with the driver. They have been disputing the amount of the fare.
