Man Passes Out in Church with Open Whiskey Bottle

A Clague Road church employee found a 56-year-old Lakewood man passed out in a pew with an open bottle of whiskey at about 7:15 p.m. April 20. arrested the man for disorderly conduct intoxicated and open container. The man also had a warrant from the North Olmsted Police Department.

Tailgater Arrested for Menacing

A 25-year-old Cleveland woman reported that her ex-boyfriend was tailgating her on Hilliard Boulevard at about 10:45 p.m. April 17. Police stopped the man shortly afterward and found a knife and box cutter. Officers arrested the man for failing to maintain an assured clear distance ahead, carrying various weapons and menacing. The woman told police that the man, a 26-year-old Warrensville Heights man, was angry about her dating another man.

Woman Returns Stolen Jacket and Phone

A 58-year-old North Ridgeville man's jacket, keys and cell phone were stolen from a Detroit Road bar on April 14. The man reported the theft to police on April 17. Security video showed a man taking the items, valued at $450, taking the items off of a bar stool. A woman turned in the stolen jacket and phone to the police department on April 18. Police continue to investigate.
