A 22-year-old Westlake man was arrested twice for DUI in less than three hours in the early hours of July 22.
He was first stopped on Columbia Road after another driver saw him driving erratically around 2:37 a.m. took him in on DUI charges and the man blew a .144 blood-alcohol content on the breath test. That alone automatically suspended his driver's license.
He was also charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia (a marijuana pipe), and failure to drive in marked lanes. He was released to his girlfriend.
Guess who was pulled over at 5:24 a.m. on Hilliard Blvd. near Crocker Road? The same man.
He had taken his girlfriend's car without permission. He was charged with another count of DUI after blowing a .098 blood-alcohol content, driving under suspension, speeding and improprer left turn. The girlfriend did not press charges for his taking the car.
