Hotel Looking for Culprit Behind Missing TV, Comforters

The following information was provided by the Westlake Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A Sperry Drive hotel billed a customer after a TV and two comforters went missing on Nov. 12. On Nov. 26, the hotel received word that the cardholder was disputing the charge. The missing amenities are worth about $1,900.

Suspected breaking and entering

On Nov. 27, a King James Parkway resident found evidence that her condo had been entered through a basement window. Police reported that she was still looking to see if anything was missing at the time of the report. She had been out of town for a little more than a week.

Roommate troubles

A Detroit Road man told police that he thinks his roommate took his silver jewelry and rolled coins on Nov. 28. The roommate had left a note saying he was going into rehab and couldn’t pay his part of the rent.
