Homeless Man Arrested After Asking for an Ambulance...3 Times

Man looking for a free ride closer to Avon Lake.

A 42-year-old homeless man requested an ambulance three times in Westlake on March 27 between 5:37 a.m. and 9:24 a.m. His ailment? None at all; he just wanted a ride closer to Avon Lake,according to Westlake police.

In the first instance, he went up to a Hilliard Boulevard home and asked the resident to call for a squad. Upon arrival at St. John Medical Center courtesy of Westlake Fire Department for his reported gout and kidney stones complaint, he immediately walked away without being seen.

At 8:12 a.m. he was outside a Center Ridge Road private school asking for an ambulance ride again. Westlake police officers sent him on his way. In the final episode, he went into a Center Ridge Road medical office building asking for the same ride. He was arrested for Making False Alarms.
