Woman Steals Beer and Cigarettes

A woman took off with beer and cigarettes from a Detroit Road gas station after her credit card was declined at about 11:15 p.m. Feb. 28. The clerk described her as a white woman between 25 and 30 years old with brown hair, standing about 5 feet and 2 inches tall. The clerk was also able to get the license plate number on the woman’s gray minivan, and police are investigating.

A gas station clerk got a counterfeit $20 bill on March, but by the time she realized it, the customer had left the store. Police are investigating.

A Pineview Drive man reported that someone threw rocks through the windshield of his 2011 Toyota Camry while it was parked in his driveway overnight on Feb. 28. Police have no suspects.

Woman Was Victim of Bank Fraud

A 40-year-old Land’s end woman got a call from her bank March 2, notifying her that there had been a wire transfer from her checking account to Australia. The suspect had used her email and forged or duplicated her signature. Bank security employees are working to get the woman’s money back.
