Furniture Store Loses Big in Burglary

The following arrest information was provided by the Westlake Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A furniture store on Center Ridge Road was robbed of furniture and its box truck sometime in the overnight hours of May 20.

Westlake police reported that the thieves got in through breaking the glass in a door. TVs, cabinets and furniture were taken, along with the truck, for an estimated loss of $100,000 total.

The box truck was found empty on East 55th street in Cleveland. Police had no suspects yet.

About the same time, someone tried to get into a nearby business. Change was taken from a truck parked inside.
