Fake Pot Gets Girl in Trouble

The following arrest information was provided by the Westlake Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A 16-year-old Westlake girl may be lucky that criminal charges are all the resulted from her recent foray into synthetic marijuana.

The girl was spotted staggering along Center Ridge Road by a woman driving by the afternoon of May 4. The woman drove the girl home, while another passer-by called Westlake police.

She was taken to St. John Medical Center by officers, who discovered that she had smoked synthetic marijuana, called "spice." The girl faces juvenile court charges of disorderly conduct by intoxication and drug abuse. She was turned over to her mother at the hospital.
