Drunk Man Found In Car With Loaded Gun
The following information was provided by the Westlake Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
A Westlake Police officer found more than expected checking on a car parked in the driveway of a Bradley Road business in the early hours of Dec. 15.
The officer came upon the 2010 Range Rover around 4:03 a.m. Sitting in the car was 39-year-old Erik Szmania of Westlake, who was drunk.
Right next to Szmania was a loaded 9mm handgun and a knife.

Szmania is charged with a concealed carry violation, carrying various weapons, being in control of a motor vehicle while under the influence and using a weapon while intoxicated.
