A Sperrys Forge Trail resident startled a thief on Sept. 26 at 3:14 a.m. as he rummaged through her car, which was parked in the driveway. The white male in his 20s wearing a white tee shirt ran off with the victim’s Coach purse; it contained $7 cash and personal papers.  Officers could not locate him. The purse (sans cash) was found that afternoon behind a Detroit Road condo garage.

An 18-year-old Euclid man was so engrossed in his Sept. 22 cell phone conversation that that he took the price tag off a $24 sweatshirt and wore it out of a Crocker Park Boulevard store (without stopping to pay for it) at 5:3o p.m. This was not well-received by the staff, who detained him outside. He was arrested for Petty Theft.
