Drinking + Bad Idea = Getting Charged

The following arrest information was provided by the Westlake Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A 20-year-old Lakewood man and two 20-year-old Euclid men got the idea in their heads to visit a former place of employment, a fast-food restaurant on Detroit Road.

Unfortunately, it was after 11 p.m., and the restaurant was closed. So they decided to try and get in through the drive-thru window. Before that next brilliant idea could be executed, someone saw them and called .

All three were charged with underage consumption.

A 24-year-old Cleveland man and a 24-year-old Elyria man fought over an Elyria woman's affections on Main Street in Crocker Park shortly after noon on June 30. Crocker Park security broke it up.

Both men were charged with disorderly conduct.

Gun trouble

A 53-year-old man from Sheridan, Wyoming, was arrested after being pulled over for failing to signal on several turns near Crocker Road and Clemens Road around 2 p.m. on July 3.

When police pulled him over, a 9mm semi-automatic handgun was in the driver's door compartment.

The man was charged with improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle.

A 21-year-old man is facing charges after a 1997 Plymouth Voyager and jewelry were repoorted stolen from his grandfather's home on Taylors Mill Turn on July 6.

The car was recovered four hours later, being driven by 21-year-old. He's being charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under suspension.
