She was under the influence of prescription drugs and beer, police said, and had blood on her clothes. The woman told police the blood came from her live-in boyfriend.

Police forced their way into the apartment, where they found the 39-year-old boyfriend with a bruise on his left forearm, a lump on his forehead, a cut on his chin and a bit mark on one of his fingers.

It turned out those injuries were caused by the woman's 16-year-old son, who had fled. The teen, who does not live with his mother, is being charged with domestic violence in juvenile court. The woman was charged with disorderly conduct by intoxication.
