Cherub Statue Missing, Items Taken From Unlocked Car: Westlake Blotters

Missing: Cherub statue

A US flag, folding chair, and cherub statue were taken from a Caroline Circle yard on the night of Sept. 1. Westlake Police have no suspects.

Stolen from unlocked car

An Atlanta Lane man’s wallet was taken from his unlocked 2003 Honda CRV while it was parked in his carport sometime on the night of Sept. 2. Three credit cards were taken, one of which was used at an unknown Walmart store. The wallet also contained $50 cash.

Missing tailgate, no party

A $1600 tailgate from a 2013 Chevrolet pickup was taken between Aug. 29 and Sept. 3 at Pat O’Brien Chevrolet. There is no known connection with the Aug. 31 incident at the same location.

Switched fob, suspect identified

Two white males stole a key fob for a 2014 Chevrolet Avalanche on the afternoon of Aug. 31. One distracted the Pat O’Brien car salesman while the other switched fobs. A suspect was identified; the investigation continues.
