Bomb Threat at Dover Elementary

Police investigating email threat

are investigating a bomb threat emailed Tuesday to .

The school was evacuated after principal Timothy Barrett received the email.

Police and the Westlake Fire Department searched the school and grounds for over an hour before students were let back into the building and classes resumed.

Superintendent Dan Keenan said that there will be an increased police presence at the school, and counselors will be available to help students upset by the incident.

Westlake police Captain Guy Turner said Wednesday that the department is working with information technology department to find the source of the email. He added that if further help is needed, the department will bring in the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
