ARRESTED: Tips Lead Authorities to Two Featured Fugitives

Both men arrested were wanted for felony offenses.

Tips sent to the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force this week lead authorities to Ramal Hammond, the fugitive featured on the site Monday afternoon, and to Ronald Thomas

"This week is an excellent example of how successful our partnership is," a spokesperson from the task force said in an email.

Authorities said Hammond was arrested at 7:15 a.m. Thursday.

Hammond was wanted for felony offenses stemming from three different cases that happened in 2011.

Hammond was wanted by the U.S. Marshals and the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office for carrying a concealed weapon, weapons under disability, two counts of trafficking, drug possession, two counts of aggravated burglary, two counts of aggravated robbery, two counts of felonious assault and two counts of kidnapping.

Thomas was arrested at 8 p.m. June 4. He was wanted by the U.S. Marshals for violating conditions of his federal supervised release.

His original charge was being a felon in possession of a firearm. Thomas was also wanted by the Ohio Adult Parole Authority for violating conditions of his parole, which is handled by the state and is different from federal supervised release. In this instance, his original state charges were aggravated assault and possession of a firearm.
