$17,500 in Jewelry, $3,500 in Shoes Taken in Hunters Chase Break-In

Also in the blotters: Purse taken from unlocked car

The following information was obtained from this week's Westlake Police logs.  

A Hunters Chase Drive man reported his apartment was broken into between 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 1 and 12:30 a.m. on Oct. 2.

The hallway door was forced open; the unknown suspect(s) left a crowbar and a cell phone behind. Seven pair of shoes (total value $3,500) and $17,500 worth of diamond jewelry were taken.  

Also in the blotters: Purse taken from unlocked car

A Strawberry Lane woman had her purse stolen from her unlocked car on the night of Oct. 2. One of her credit card was used twice at two different Redbox machines before she could cancel all of them. There are no suspects.
