Don't put your leaves in the street please

Folks, please do not put your leaves in the street waiting for the city to pick them up.  It's. . .
-Dangerous (a big temptation for kids to play in and therefore could get run over by a car). . .
-Blocks the sewers. . .
-Blocks the road/right of way. . .
-It's against city policy to put them in the street. .  LEAVES ONLY - do not mix branches or grass cuttings with leaves as this will plug the machines and slow the collection process. . .Please remember to place leaves on the tree lawn and NOT in the street. http://www.cityofwestlake.org/services/leaf.aspx

Please do not put your leaves on the street--your grass will grow back next spring if you put your leaves on your tree lawn as we've been asked to do. Thank you for being a good neighbor!
P.S.  We aren't talking about the leaves that blow into the street--those can't be helped--we are specifically addressing this to the folks who out right put them in the street to try to keep their tree lawns from browning from the piles of leaves!
