William L. Montgomery, 85, former Pastor of Westlake Presbyterian Church

William L. Montgomery, “Rev”, 85, former Pastor of Westlake Presbyterian Church, passed away on April 20.

He was born on Nov. 5, 1927 in Joplin, MO.

After his retirement from the ministry, he was a substitute teacher and coach at Westlake High School. He is survived by wife, Cathy, sons William L. Jr. (Julia), Jim, Tom (Donna), and daughter, Peggy as well as sisters Margaret Leo (Peter) and Susanne McCowan, five grandchildren: Elizabeth, Andrew, James, David and Daniel and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be at John Knox Presbyterian Church, 25200 Lorain Rd., North Olmsted, on Sat. May 4 at 11 a.m.  In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be made to The Westlake Athletic Development Foundation P.O. Box 45103 Westlake, OH 44145 or www.westlakeadf.org.

Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park.
