William A. “Bud” Eva Jr., Tufts Graduate, Served in the Marines

William A. "Bud" Eva Jr., 84 of Westlake, OH, passed away on July 16, 2013 at St. John Medical Center following complications on heart disease.

Bud was born in Boston and graduated from Tufts University in, Medford, MA. He served in the United States Marine Corp, during the Korean War and was a 43-year employee of US Steel working as a metallurgist. He was also a 46-year member of the Hermit Club dedicated to the performing arts.

Bud is survived by his wife of 59 years, Edith (nee Gushee) and his children Stephen A. Eva (Marilyn Hatton) of Chagrin Falls; Priscilla Eva of Lakewood, OH and W. Allan Eva, III (Janice McKeon) of Cleveland Heights, OH as well as eight grand children and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Barbara O'Brien of Sarasota, FL.

He was preceded in death by his parents William Allan and Ada Simmons (nee Hodges) Eva and sister Helen Arcana.

Services were held at the Busch Funeral Home, 32000 Detroit Rd., Avon, OH this past weekend.

The funeral service will be Monday at the funeral home at 7 p.m. Interment will be at the Vine Hill Cemetery, Plymouth, which will include full military honors.

The family suggests memorial contributions to The Library of St. Anthony's (Hermit Archive Materials) 1629 Dodge St., Cleveland, OH 44114.
