Big Body Yoga: Class Series at Pink Lotus Yoga

Based on her innovative and popular Big Body Yoga workshops at PLY, Julie has created a series that offers students over six hours of instruction, practice, and individual attention.

PROPS to You: Big Body Yoga Class Series
Saturdays May 11th-June 15th (no class 5/25)
10:15-11:30 a.m.

Join big-body yoga instructor and Thai Yoga Massage practitioner Julie Brown for our studio’s first Big Body Yoga classes. This is a five-week series open to persons carrying extra body weight and as such is similar to other ‘plus-size’ exercise activities.

Based on her innovative and popular Big Body Yoga workshops at PLY, Julie has created a series that offers students over six hours of instruction, practice, and individual attention. Big Body Yoga classes teach postures, breathing, meditation, and deep relaxation, all in a welcoming and physically and emotionally safe atmosphere.

Students will learn how to effectively use yoga props (blankets, blocks, bolsters, straps, and chairs) and also learn from Julie how to adjust their bodies without props for maximum postural benefit.

Each week, students will practice many of the same yoga postures so that they can easily gauge results from week to week. Just as importantly, each week Julie will present new postures and variations on familiar ones so that by the end of the series, students will have gained a strong BBY foundation.

Every body, as is, is capable of yoga. Class size is limited to eight, so enroll early.

Fee: $60.00 (four classes at $15 per class/fifth class is free)
Members’ Fee: 20% off
