Barbecues, beaches, warm breezes and children's laughter are just a few things that I love about summer in Westlake. Where else can you go to a shopping mecca such as Crocker Park and enjoy the ambiance, people watch and just enjoy all the things that encompass summer.
While summer is one of my favorite times of the years, I look back on all the fun I had as a child: the smells of cooking out on the grill, swimming at the neighborhood pool with all my friends, playing softball and just being able to be out and about and enjoy this wonderous season.
As we get ready to celebrate the Fourth of July holiday and get further into the summer months, let us take the time to stop and smell the flowers, barbecues and revel in the sounds of our children as well as enjoy the fun that comes with summer and maybe in some way relive a little bit of our childhoods as well.
