Hilliard Elementary's New Principal Is Named

Kimberly Riposo-Conley is stepping in as new Hilliard Elementary School principal.

As most everyone knows Mary Flanagan who has been Hilliard Elementary School's principal for 24 years is retiring and her replacement has been named.

Kimberly Riposo-Conley will be taking over as Hilliard Elementary's Principal. She comes from Elyria where she has been a principal at Franklin Elementary for the past 5 years. Prior to Elyria she was working in the Cleveland Municipal School District as assistant principal at AB Hart Middle School as well as AJ Rickoff and she taught 6th grade math at Charles Mooney Middle School. She has also worked in special education for grades 7 and 8.

She has implemented many successful programs at Franklin including a Creative Arts Mentorship Program as well as a highly regarded reading intervention program for grades K-2 and she looks forward to building onto the success that the school has enjoyed under Mary Flanagan.

She has said that she is excited and looking forward to being an active participant in the Westlake community. She is also thrilled to be coming into the Westlake school district, one that has strong community support as well as exceptional parent participation.

She also added that she will use her experience as well as knowledge to maintain the excellence already in place at Hilliard, she said she will help staff and students embrace new learning opportunities that exist.

She lives in North Ridgeville and is the mother of two sons Evan 8 and Andrew 6.

This information was presented at the last PTA meeting of the year by outgoing principal Mary Flanagan.
