New Year's Resolution: Overcoming Obstacles to Find Time for You

As a caregiver of a child with special needs, you are usually so busy tending to the needs of everyone else that you never take any time for you.  Lisa Ruman, LISW, CHt, with The Child & Family Counseling Center of Westlake, will discuss the importance of self care and carving out some time just for you. She will equip attendees with real-life, practical ways to make sure you are recharging your battery so you can help your child.  Participants will also discuss caregiver burnout, the victim triangle and will have the opportunity to explore the emotions that accompany the role of caregiver.

Connecting for Kids and the Westlake Porter Public Library
are co-sponsoring childcare for families during the discussion. To reserve a spot for your child,
