Classical Guitarist and Composer James Marron Performs for the Cleveland Classical Guitar Society to Benefit Harvest for Hunger

The Cleveland Classical Guitar Society’s Local Artists and Rising Stars Series presents guitarist/composer James Marron in concert. Marron will perform works by South American masters Antonio Lauro and Jorge Morel as well as original works including his signature version of John Dowland’s “If My Complaints Could Passions Move” that slowly transforms the renaissance lute song into a modern day blues tune.

A graduate of the Manhattan School of Music in NYC, James Marron has performed in Italy, France, Germany, and Ireland and throughout the United States. Mel Bay Publishing in the U. S. and Berben Publishing in Italy publish his compositions. As co-founder of Marronprater dance and music co., he has received commissions from GroundWorks Dance Theatre, The Cleveland Repertory Project and The University of Akron Dance Company. Marron is on the faculty of The University of Akron.
