This family friendly event held in memory of 12 yr old Westlake resident, Emily Lewis, features a 4 mile USA Track & Field certified race, 2 mile run/walk, kids runs and more! 100% of the proceeds support research of pediatric cancers at UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital, an internationally recognized center for basic, clinical and translational research. Each day, 46 children in America will be diagnosed with cancer – that is enough to fill a school bus. Sadly, cancer is the leading cause of death by disease in children and yet most of the funding for research comes from private donations and federal funding through the National Cancer Institute.
