3rd Annual Blessing of the Pets at Westlake’s Lutheran Home at Concord Reserve

Each day our pets bless us with
unconditional love and devotion. On Sunday, October 6, 2013 Lutheran Home
Chaplain Jim Kulma will preside over a brief ceremony in the Chapel honoring
Saint Francis, patron Saint for the protection of animals & lover of
all creation.

The Pet Blessing will take place from
2:30-3:15 p.m. The Lutheran Home’s “Main Street” bird friends, which
bring such joy to our residents —from the campus indoor duck pond and finch
aviaries—will also be blessed that day.

The event is open to our residents & their families, our employees, and the
local community. All “well behaved” animals on leashes or in carriers, are
welcome! If your pet does not travel well, a photo will suffice.

The Lutheran Home at Concord Reserve, a senior life
community offers Assisted Living, (including Alzheimer’s respite and care), post-surgical
rehabilitation therapy, and long-term care. The campus is located at 2116 Dover
Center Road, where it has provided excellent, faith-based care since 1932.
