Westlake Not Hit Hard by Property Value Dip

Parts of Cuyahoga County got hammered

Property values in Westlake fell 1.4 percent in the first property revaluation since county auditor Frank Russo's fall from grace, the Plain Dealer reported on Friday.

County-wide, property values fell 9 percent since 2009.

The hardest-hit areas were Maple Heights, where property values plummeted 33.1 percent, the east side of Cleveland with a 29.9 percent percent drop, and Warrensville Heights with a 29.5 percent drop.

In surrounding communities, Rocky River's property values stayed the same, Bay Village's fell 0.6 percent, Fairview Park's fell 3.4 percent and North Olmsted's fell 7.2 percent.
