The Westlake City Schools will be hosting an informational evening with everything you need to know about kindergarten at 7 p.m. Thursday at You'll find information on dates and deadlines, half-day and full-day options, and hear from speakers in several departments fo the school system. This is an adults-only event.

The Cuyahoga West Genealogical Society would like to help discover the roots on your family tree. From 6:30 to 8:45 p.m. on Wednesday, the society will offer suggestions and help to get your ancestral search going at Porter Public Library. For more information, call 440-871-2600.
