Rain Pushes Historical Society Sale to Thursday

Due to the weather this weekend, the Westlake Historical Society's Fall Yard sale will now be held 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday.

The weather just wouldn't cooperate for the Westlake Historical Society's Fall Yard Sale over the weekend, so organizers have rescheduled it for Thursday.

Originally scheduled for Saturday, and then pushed back to Sunday, the sale will now be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the lawn of the .

The society will be providing coffee and donuts while shoppers peruse the classy cast-offs, vintage items and knick-knacks. All proceeds will go toward paying utility bills and purchasing archival materials, according to the historical society.

The society is still accepting donations for the sale at Clague House. If no one is there, just leave donations on the porch and someone will pick it up.

"We appreciate the person who donated the two wonderful boxes of great stuff," said Dave Pfister, membership chair. "If we're not there, it just means we'll be back soon."
