The ducks were out in force Tuesday at Clague Park, quacking up a storm.
With nobody tossing french frieds or bread in the water, the ducks were forced to forage for food the old-fashioned way: They dove for it. Park officials discourage people from feeding the birds. It causes them to lose their natural wariness of humans and damages their health.
A few gulls were hanging out with the ducks as well. They too found slim pickings as far as handouts go.
