Kiddie Kloset Sells Out Tables, Readies for April 13 Event

Popular event will feature more than 80 tables for bargain-seeking parents.

The Westlake Early Childhood PTA (WECPTA) is holding its spring Kiddie Kloset kids resale event on Saturday, April 13, but if you’re looking to sell, forget it.

The tables are sold out.

“It is such a popular event that we sell out with just our members,” Marie Novak, WECPTA 3rd VP Kiddie Kloset Chairperson, said. Tables were sold out by mid-February.

You don't have to live in Westlake to be a member of the PTA, the organization encourages anyone looking to get a table for a future Kiddie Kloset to become a member.

The event will be held at Westlake High School, 27830 Hilliard Road in Westlake from 8 a.m. – noon and will feature gently used baby items, kids clothing, toys, games, furniture, and maternity clothes. The sale will include more than 80 tables of merchandise – one of the largest kids resale events in the area.

“The Westlake Early Childhood PTA believes that the Kiddie Kloset Sale provides a wonderful service for its members and the community,” Novak said. “We are appreciative of all the support throughout the years, especially recently with the construction at the Westlake High School.”

The construction put a minor kink in the plans. Because of construction at the high school, the parking for the sale will be on east side of the building. The admissions entrance will be in the back of the building.

The group is also sweetening the pot for new attendees and to encourage early shopping.

“As an incentive to shop the Kiddie Kloset early this year, everyone that pays for early bird admission between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. will be entered into a drawing for a $50 Gymboree gift certificate,” Novak said. “The winner will be drawn at 9:15 a.m. and must be present to win.”

Admission is $5 for the early-bird preview from 8 a.m. – 9 a.m. and $1 for entrance from 9 a.m. – noon.  Cash sales only, and the WECPTA is asking for no bills larger than $20.

A bake sale will also be held during the sale with proceeds benefiting a local Scout Troop.
