Holiday finery ranged from Christmas-themed ties for the men to sparkling sweaters and jackets for the women. Mayor Dennis Clough wore his own Santa tie.

After cocktails and lunch, the Pop Tarts performed for the crowd of around 200 people.

"It's a good time," said Michael Meluch. "It gets us out of the house and into the Christmas mood."

For Jane Smith, the luncheon is part of a month-long celebration for her. Not only does Christmas come this month, but her birthday as well.

"It's a magical time," Smith said of the holiday season. "You feel like a kid all over again."

The luncheon is also a chance for her to see friends old and new. Coming to Community Services events, she's re-connected with a former co-worker at Cleveland Trust.

"I always look forward to this," she said. "I get to go around to the tables and see everyone."
