Heavy Rains Melt Snow And Cause Flooding
Westlake residents reported standing water and flooded basements.
The National Weather Service extended a flood warning for Cuyahoga County through 9 p.m. Monday night. Weather experts suggest staying alert in case of high water, especially in areas without good drainage like underpasses.
If your basement is flooded, act quickly because mold and mildew can grow fast. If you don’t wash soiled fabrics within a day, you’ll probably have to throw it away.
Thankfully, the skies are clearing up now. Tuesday’s forecast is sunny with a high near 42 degrees.
