Apply for Open Spot on Westlake Porter Public Library Board of Trustees

is accepting applications for the Board of Trustees through Sept. 16.

You don't even have to be a Westlake resident to apply! You just can't be a member of the county budget commission, a current Board of Education member, or have served on the board of education during the past year.

During the seven-year term, trustees help set library policies, set the budget and hire a new library director if necessary.

To apply, send a completed application to karen.hunt@westlakelibrary.org, or print and return it in person, or by mail. You can find the application in a Microsoft Word document here. You may also submit a resume with your application.

After screening the applications, the library will call selected applicants for interview with the board's planning and development committee. The Board of Trustees will then recommend a candidate to the Westlake Board of Education for approval.
