Update: Another Flood Watch For Northeast Ohio

Watch for heavy rains Friday afternoon through Sunday morning.

The National Weather Service Cleveland chapter's flood advisory for Cuyahoga County is now running through 6:30 p.m. tonight. Weather experts say the most affected areas include Cleveland, Strongsville, Lakewood and North Ridgeville as well as surrounding communities.

Westlake should see up to half an inch of rain this afternoon and snow after 10 p.m. with 1-2 inches of snow. Tomorrow may bring lower temperatures and less than an inch of snow.

The National Weather Service issued a flood warning for the Cuyahoga River in Independence through Sunday evening. As of 10:30 a.m. today, the river was at 15feet and is expected to rise above flood stage by this afternoon, reaching 17 feet by the evening.
