Westlake's Clark is 1 of 8 Pharmacists in U.S. Selected for Special Training

Bernadette Clark is a registered pharmacist at Fairview Hospital

Bernadette Clark, PharmD, BCPS, BCOP, a registered pharmacist at Fairview Hospital, is one of eight pharmacists nationwide chosen to participate in the American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP) Research and Education Foundation’s 2012-13 Oncology Patient Care Traineeship.

The program is a four-month educational experience during which pharmacists are trained to develop and maintain specialized services for the management of patients with cancer. Trainees receive intensive distance and experiential training that prepares them to participate on interdisciplinary patient care teams as the health professional who is responsible and accountable for patients’ medication-related outcomes.

Dr. Clark joined Lakewood Hospital in 1998 as a pharmacy intern and later transferred to Fairview in 2000. She has practiced as an internal medicine clinical specialist in pharmacy, and her current specialty area is oncology. Dr. Clark is a board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist, and she recently attained certification as an oncology pharmacist.
