What sort of gift says 'I love you' best?

Valentine's Day is a day for love, so couples are hitting the stores to find the perfect gift. But many others are sending some love to family members as well.

Rachel Aberdeen stopped by on Detroit Road Wednesday morning to pick up some flowers for her mother, who lives in North Ridgeville. She said she was going to deliver them in person, along with some homemade buckeye candies to celebrate the holiday.

"Valentine's Day has always been special for us," she said. "My mother always sent me a Valentine when I was at college, and she never stopped. So, we always exchange them now."

Dan Gillingham of Westlake stopped by  on Tuesday afternoon for some red roses, which he said are his mother's favorite. He'll send them to her in Colorado for Valentine's Day.

"I don't send anything but roses," he said. "That's what she wants, and that's what she deserves, so that's what gets!"

Stacy Dreiden of North Olmsted was shopping for her older sister's anniversary gift, as well as a Valentine's gift for her younger sister, at at . She said a massage is "probably the best gift you could get."

"It's what I would want," she joked. "You would never buy one for yourself, but when you get a free massage... it just makes your day. How could it not?"
