Stay in the Stock Market? Get out By Summer? Expert Offering Tips

Investors Interest Group returns to Westlake Porter Public Library.

After a four-month hiatus, The Investors Interest Group will return to Westlake Porter Public Library on Thursday, May 2 at 7 p.m.

The IIG took a break while the library searched for and hired a new Business Specialist to replace Cynthia Hall, who retired on December 31, 2012. Business Specialist Sue Provenzale, who started in February, will now manage the group.

The May 2 meeting will feature a presentation by Herb Geissler on the Market Climate and Weather Forecast. Geissler will review key economic facts to help investors understand the market climate during the next several quarters.

Geissler is the Managing Director of the St. Clair Group and President of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the AAII. He is also a business management consultant and coaches individual investors to help them improve the management of their investment portfolios.

“The market looks like its topping out and may be in for a serious correction this summer,” Geissler, a member of the American Association of Individual Investors, said. “We’ll be reviewing economic measures that will tell us which way the market is moving as well as when it is safe to get in, and get out.”
