Plastic bits got into the dog food.

A few kinds of Pedigree canned dog food have been recalled after bits of plastic got into the food, creating a choking hazard for dogs, maker Mars Petcare has announced.

According to a statement from Mars Petcare, small pieces of blue plastic got into the food during production. The company added the cause of the plastic getting into the food has been found and fixed.

No dogs have been reported injured or sickened, but some dog owners have reported finding the pieces.
